Whew!

originally uploaded by msbellee.

I can finally quit fretting now about sale number 27. I was afraid I was never going to sell another thing and had relagated myself to the fact that nobody liked my stuff. Oh well, I'll just get to keep it all! Then today when I least expected it these earrings sold!

I just love these earrings. I secretly wanted to keep them. They're just cool. I'm so glad my love for them was affirmed. These will be on there way to California on Friday where I hope they are worn in good health! Thank you very much to my latest customer. It is very much appreciated!

(gonna have to make a pair for me!)

Those are lovely. Did you hammer out the wires yourself?

I want to make some more sales!

Yes, I did. I loved doing it and I like the way they turned out. I want to do more and I want to get Tim McCreight's book so I can maybe teach myself some things. Although that might be dangerous to teach yourself. What do you think about self-taught metal working?

I have that book--it's excellent. I think self-taught metal working is a fine idea, though I've been slow to try out new techniques due to safety issues since I live in a small apartment.

And my etsy sales have been slow lately, too. I think it's just the onset of summer (and the fact that I've been less than diligent with new listings). So extra congrats on selling those earrings; they are lovely.

That is a nice texturing job on those hoops, Ginger!

Tim McCreight's book? I'll have to look into that. I'm starting a metalsmithing class next Thursday. Worried what to do if I fall in love with it as I have NO room for all the fun toys & tools that would entail.

It's almost always feast or famine for me on Etsy. I may go weeks w/ nary a nibble and then suddenly sell 3 or 4 items in one day. The highs and the lows of it all!

Ginger, congrats on the sale! You're not alone in your fear of not selling anymore...I'm going through my own right now. We are way to hard on ourselves. Besides, your stuff is always beautiful!

I'll have to check out that book too. I think if you feel comfortable enough, teaching yourself is a great idea. That's how I learned everything up to now.

They are beautiful. I have been in a slow spell this week and I always get so antsy. Then, just as you described, as soon as I truly stop worrying, something sells. Bizarre.

Those earrings are lovely. Congratulations for the selling and for mother's day. Sorry, english is not my mother tongue, so it is a bit difficult for me to express my thougths. No matter how old were you when you had the baby, the important thing is how you love and take care of him.
